Mackinac Island is such a special place. No cars allowed--just horses and bikes! We love making the day trip every summer.

No trip to Mackinac would be complete without a fudge and ice cream stop. For some strange reason, neither appealed to Jack so he opted for a chocolate and sprinkle coated marshmallow. Not a bad substitute, I guess.

If you make it over to the island next year be sure to go the the Original Butterfly House. It is worth the trip to see the butterflies and other critters they have. (We live on the island year-round and visit there several times a summer.)
