Birthday Boy

Jack turned one year old on Sunday and he had a big celebration. Uncle Dave flew in from Pennsylvania and Jack hosted his first party. First he helped us clean for the party...Before his party he received balloons from his Nana and Papa as well as his first bike. He thought the bike was awesome and the basket on the front even more awesome!

Then a bunch of his friends came over. He had 4 baby friends and about 15 adult friends help him celebrate his first birthday.

Jack had a special giant cupcake for his birthday cake made specially by Mommy.
He really wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do with the cake and frosting...

After cake, Jack opened all of his presents. He is definitely not in need of ANY toys for the next couple of years!













All in all, it was a great day and the perfect way to celebrate the joy that is Jack. We're headed to Virginia on Thursday for more birthday celebrations where Jack will have a second birthday party with all of his family including all of his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins at Lake Monnocan. Is this kid loved, or what?

Trying Something New

A lot of our friends have blogs which I find are a great way to "stay in the loop", or snoop as Chris would say. A few of our friends have blogs about their kids and I thought I would give it a try. Considering we live 1000 miles away from all of our family and most of our friends, people don't get to see Jack all that often. I try to send out emails every couple of months with Jack Updates but its hard to tell who really wants to read them and who is just being polite and not telling us they really don't care how many words Jack can say or what his favorite foods are! I figure this will be a way for all those who care to see Jack grow and develop without shoving it down people's throats. I will try my best to keep it updated with lots of pictures. Hope you enjoy!
